Highly Covet

The darkness feasts upon the light in the vision. Was a death so highly valued? The life was worth so little that it was graciously bestowed the gift of animosity. The offender extracts what he so highly coveted. In the end,it is the same; One of countless horrors have claimed the victim, as well as others before. Its agents will drain the green paper and metal bits that compel them to partake in madness.

You got some good imagery in this one!
Its shorter than some I've seen of you, but this poem still packs a punch.
