Little Dead Girl

In a gym at school
a girl, nameless, ageless
lies dead in a pool of her own blood
her wrists and throat slit
by her own hands, of course

this truly was a most beautiful death
the death of a beautiful girl
so tragic, yet so beautiful
all she wanted were the finer things in life
but alas, she could no longer take the pain
the torment from the other girls
who made fun of her books
the boys who turned her away
because of her looks
the mother and father she cared for 
how they rejected her
how the despised her

she was a mistake 
she felt so horrible 
so sad
all the time 
she wanted it to end
so she made it end
she knew nobody cared
nobody even knew 
until gym period that day

the only boy who cared for her most
but did not say it
found her body in the corner 
cried over her corpse 
while the other kids laughed
