18 Jun, 2015 07:28 PMAmidst the blackness of a frost-covered glen, Charon sought the help of his darkest kin: “Beautiful Nyx, I elicit thee For thy shadow’s baleful trickery! A night hath worshiped thine darkling sin. Prithee, dear Nyx... Come unto me.” Nyx: “Dearest Charon, who calls me with glee, Why hast thou summoned me?” Charon: “I ask thee for guidance, O’ Beautiful one! Dearest sister, Callisto’s soul needs undone.” Nyx: “I’ve dominion over Cimmerian shade, In which phantasms doth wade! Mine dear brother, I’ve altered such shadows too; Whole nightmares weaved anew! I’ve also glimpse sadness, such lovely pain The darkness hath shown in haunting refrain! Charon: “Create such visions, Dearest Queen of the Dark! Disdainful visions That shall leave their mark!” Nyx: “It shall be done, collector of pain. Poor Callisto’s torment shall be of great gain!” Thus thine enchantress begun her spell To taunt Callisto’s fragmented tale: “O’ Pale apparition whose soul is henceforth doomed, Come to Callisto in delightful gloom! Bestow upon thee a vision of pain and sorrow Whose unfortunate significance shall be borrowed!”
