Echo in the night

I hear it 
Through the tree's
The unknown assailant
Is coming for me
The footsteps grow louder 

It is faster than me 
My heart starts to race 
My pulse escalates 
I run as fast as I can
But not fast enough 

There are more now 
More voices 
More rustling in 
The bushes
I see them now

Wolves 
They look hungry 
And I am the main course 
I know I am dead
