My heart was pounding as I bolted uphill. I began to pant in fear. The shadows of the trees lurked into the darkness, and the wind growled and slammed cold blasts of air upon me. My thighs got heavier each step, but I couldn't give up because she was right behind me. I stumbled on every rock I encountered and my body wanted to give up. Her growl echoed in the darkness as she flapped her wings and took flight. I knew why she was after me, and she wasn't going to give up until she gets what she wants.
The further I went, the closer she got. The wind blew even harder trying pushing me back, but this time the spooky trees joined in as well. Mud splashed all over my legs and it was raining cats and dogs. I bolted further up the hill but tiredly collapsed as... [Read More]

At first, it’s like any other day. I awakened, showered, brewed my morning cup of joe, and that is when I first saw…outside, there was nothing…no moonlight, stars, or anything! It was like an endless black void of space. My mind was racing; Where was I…What is going on…Why is this happening? I caught myself and thought that maybe it is just extremely dark outside because the lights are not working.
Standing there in front of the window, I carefully sipped my coffee…cautious not to burn my tongue. I paused, patiently, to try to see if the lights will come back on, or that I will see some shred of moonlight in the nighttime sky. “Maybe I should just go and lay back down.”, I thought to myself. Turning around to leave, I noticed that all of my furniture has disappeared. “Where did all of my stuff go.”, I said... [Read More]

I woke to green light and purple shadows. The air was heavy and humid, wrapping around me like a blanket. A faint buzzing irritated my ears. Fear gripped me. They would be coming soon. Coming with their sharp silver instruments and whispered promises that they were "just trying to fix you. It'll be over soon." Ignoring my screams. Looking down on me with painted smiles. I close my hand around the glass shard. Not today.
They come on time, painted smiles bright red today. Their eyes flash, mine gleam and red drips down my face. Taking a life leaves me buzzing wit adrenaline. I turn. I run. I am free.
Years of imprisonment in my own mind, in my own body, cannot prepare me for the absolute bliss, the euphoria that comes with the stretching of my muscles, the lengthening of my breath. I am hypnotized by the pounding of... [Read More]

Chapter 1
In the corner curled into a ball. I cry alone and alone only, no one there but myself. I look up and all I see is the color black. I look up into this darkness. This scary, cold, thick, condensed air. All around me is darkness. Scared and alone, I wonder why I'm here and that I want out of here but yet I feel.....at home in the dark. Maybe there is more to my dark side then I realized. I put my head back down into my arms and knees. I sit on the floor as quietly as possible. I listen to the sounds that I hear. I close my eyes and focus hard on what I want to hear. I sit and I wait and wait and wait. I start drifting off into a sleep. And my head hits the floor as I have fallen from... [Read More]

Pure silence covered the whole house. You could hear your own breathing from wall to wall. And darkness was my friend. Shadows were everywhere to be seen, they chased you. All I could do was run, behind my guide. We both felt it coming, but we never said a word. From door to door there was nothing but black illusions. Tension was everywhere though, but the kind that you felt in your bones. And I for sure did not want to get caught in the act. The followers were getting near. There's no place to hide now.
She took me by the hand and quickly we moved from place to place. I could hear her mumble, but it only made me worry more. What can you say, I was a kid of four at the time. And for running in complete darkness and hearing voices from everywhere is what made... [Read More]

I awoke. I had one of the strangest dreams I can ever recall; it was not horror movie scary nor did it really make any sense. But it honestly frightened me due to me having no idea what was going on. It was just me sitting alone in a stray jacket in a padded white room; from what I can infer I was in a mental Institution. I had no idea why I was there; but all I was doing was trying to calm myself down and think of a reason why I was in there. But before I could completely calm myself down a 6 foot 4 man walked in to the room. He was wearing a fancy black suit; he had big bushy eyebrows with a big bald spot on the top of his head. He walked straight to me, kneeled down removing his sunglasses looking into my... [Read More]

The chamber was cold, below freezing. He lay exposed on the metal table top, wrists and ankles strapped down. He could see his breath as he exhaled. His teeth chattered and his body shook. His skin was blue and cold to the touch. He tried not to think about what would happen if he made any sudden movements.
Within minutes, she walked in. Dressed in a long white lab coat, she pulled out a syringe and injected the green liquid into his left forearm. His body shook as he clenched his teeth together. She would not hear him scream. She would not see him cry.
Within a minute, his body stopped shaking. His breathing was shallow as sweat formed around his brow. The woman observed and made mental notes about his current condition before leaving the cold room.
Relieved, he opened his eyes. No hope could be seen. Sold by... [Read More]
